First you turn the ignition on with key or button and you have to check driver's seat, headlight, and side light (UK)/ parking light (US). Don't forget about fastening your seat belt and look around before letting clutch out. Then you push accelerator / gas pedal (US) put the car into first gear using gear level (UK) / gear shift (US) and start driving. If you still don't move check your hand brake (UK) / emergency brake (US) because maybe you forgot to take it off.
When you stop you push brake and but when you stop on a hill also put handbrake / emergency brake on. If you reach junction (UK) / intersection (US) or roundabout (UK) / traffic circle (US) and you need to turn left or right you should launch indicator (UK) / turn signal (US). During diving change gear, and check your dashboard where is speedometer, and remember you shouldn't drive more than 30 mph in built-up areas and 70 mph on motorways in Great Britian. In the United States speed limit is dependent on State and the highest is 70mph while the lowest 60mph and most of the drivers use automatic transmission (gearbox). Always check your rear view mirror and wing mirrors (UK) / side mirrors (US) before you overtake (UK) / pass (US) (another car), otherwise you can do the damage to your coachwork (UK) / body (US) or bumper or even lose a tire (US) / tyre (UK) hubcap. You can lose your driving licence (UK) / driver's license (US) for causing a car accident, hitting a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing (UK) / crosswalk (US) or driving under influence.
When you're out of petrol (UK) /gas (US) you need to go to petrol / gas station to tank up (US) / fill a car up with petrol (UK) but first open the petrol cap (UK) / gas cap (US). Remember that garage corresponds to place you can keep your car, mechanic or in Great Britain - patrol station.
At the back of your car you can see tail light (US) / rear light (UK), boot (UK) / trunk (US) where you can put big items, number plate (UK) / license plate (US), and exhaust (UK) / tailpipe (US). In front of a car you can see a big windscreen (UK) / windshield (US) with wipers that you need while raining. Boonet (UK) / hood (US) covers engine and radiator which cools it.
